What the service offers The service provides advice, consultation, training and support to staff in primary care services in health, education, social services and the voluntary sector on a range of child and adolescent emotional and mental health issues. The team is a multi agency resource for professionals within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The team has a meeting room for professionals that can be booked via our administrator.
Who is the service for? People working in primary care e.g. GPs health visitors, practice nurses, Sure Start workers, teachers, learning support assistants, youth workers, social workers and people working in the voluntary sector that work with children and young people.
What is the procedure for referrals? The service can be contacted by telephone, email or post or people can drop-in to our offices or make an appointment for us to visit them at their place of work.
Opening hours? Monday to Friday 9am –5pm. The administrator is available mornings only.
Is there a charge for this service? Professionals are not charged for the support offered by the service. However, there is a cost to some of the training courses that the service organises. The cost of hiring the meeting room varies depending on the individual/service wanting to use t
